Plot Summary: The four-day Democratic open convention is in full swing in Atlanta. The agenda for this convention is to select the presidential running mate, the Vice President. Claire's votes are steadily increasing due to her meticulous planning. In public, Claire still pretends not to run, supporting Catherine for the Vice President position, and also promoting the gun control bill that has passed the House of Representatives. Frank is also organizing his 'thank you' show, bringing together other organ recipients from the same donor to express gratitude to the donor's parents. The convention, gun control bill, and 'thank you' show almost occupy all media screens, diminishing William's attention and overshadowing his family show. To grab attention, William goes directly to Atlanta, publicly demanding that President Frank respond to the Caliphate. Regardless of the President's answer, it will become a new focal point, drawing public attention back to him. Frank decides to respond immediately, calling William's phone live at an official press conference, but deliberately having William hand the phone to Brohart next to him, and expressing willingness to meet William. William is invited to the President's hotel, and under the media spotlight, enters a small room prepared specifically for this meeting with Frank. In the room, the two talk about everything except the Caliphate. At this moment, a call from William's campaign headquarters appears on the phone screen. William takes back his phone and goes directly into the bathroom to answer. Frank sensitively senses that something bad is about to happen. It turns out that the call was Catherine reaching an agreement with William's team: Catherine would disrupt Frank's campaign, and William would reserve the position of Secretary of State for her. William sees the expression on Frank's face and exits the room with satisfaction. Outside, William triumphantly announces that the conversation was fruitful. Frank utters some political platitudes and then hurries away with Doug. Catherine refuses to meet the President, and her subordinates no longer answer calls from the President's team. Given the current unfavorable situation, Frank asks Claire to leave Atlanta as soon as possible to avoid suspicion. Claire agrees to go to Texas early the next day, which would make it easier to explain to the media. Frank asks her to bring Thomas, using this time to write a heartfelt acceptance speech to lay the groundwork for the future.
