Walter Jr. worries about his father's safety, and Marie immediately calls Walter. Hank hopes his friend will continue investigating Gus, and his friend checks but finds nothing unusual. Jesse, after making a delivery, calls Walter, but Walter doesn't answer. Jesse receives a call from Saul, who tells him he's about to flee. Jesse returns home, and the hospital calls to say Andrea's son has the flu. At this point, Jesse discovers the poison hidden in his cigarettes is gone, suspecting Walter. Jesse immediately rushes to Walter's house, pointing a gun at him, intending to kill him. Walter denies doing it, telling Jesse it's all Gus's plot, as only Gus would joke with a child's life. Jesse eventually believes Walter and rushes out to kill Gus, but Walter calms him down. Walter suggests Jesse go to the hospital to visit Andrea's son. Gus's men order Jesse to go to work now, but Jesse refuses. Walter is making a makeshift bomb at home. Meanwhile, Gus drives to the hospital to find Jesse. Gus talks to Jesse, who insists on staying at the hospital until Andrea's son gets better, refusing to leave. Gus finally agrees to let Jesse stay at the hospital but orders him to return to work normally next week. Walter plants a bomb in Gus's car and prepares to detonate it from a distance. Gus senses something is wrong and ultimately chooses not to drive away. Walter's last hope is shattered, feeling he is just waiting for death.
