Plot Summary： A few days later, the White and Schrader couples meet for a gathering, during which Walter reveals he has lung cancer. Jesse hangs out with two of his shady friends and gives them some of the methamphetamine Walter produced. His friends are shocked by the drug's effects. The next morning, Jesse remains deeply trapped in the hallucinations caused by the meth. Excited, he rushes to his parents' house, but they treat him coldly and kick him out. At the same time, Jesse discovers his younger brother is secretly using drugs. Soon after, he receives a call from a friend saying someone wants to buy his drugs. Skyler arranges an expensive oncologist appointment for Walter, but Walter insists the cost is too high. Still, he secretly uses his savings to pay for the diagnosis. Suddenly, Jesse shows up at Walter’s doorstep, infuriating Walter. In anger, Jesse slams $4,000 in profits—Walter’s share—onto the ground. At the hospital, Skyler carefully discusses Walter’s condition with the doctor, but Walter shows no interest. Skyler prepares to start a $90,000 treatment plan, but Walter insists it’s likely a waste of money—he doesn’t want his family to go bankrupt. His son angrily responds that if that’s the case, then Walter should just die. Walter encounters a businessman named Ken twice—in a bank and at a gas station—whom he finds shallow and rude. At the gas station, Walter pries open Ken’s sports car hood and drains its battery.
